Seven years – that’s how long Bruce Dickinson has kept his fans waiting for "Tyranny Of Souls“, the successor of his fifth solo album "The Chemical Wedding“. No wonder: next to his job as lead singer of Iron Maiden, the guy is a BBC dj and qualified airline pilot. Dickinson’s main supporter during the recording process was Helloween- and Judas Priest-Producer Roy Z who – unless sitting at the helm during the production of the Priest reunion album – played all guitar and bass tracks. The result: a typical British metal album, featuring hooky choruses right out of Dickinson’s singing workshop – nothing new, really, but solid craftsmanship and the occasional ear catcher. Listening tips: "Navigate The Seas Of The Sun", "Tyranny Of Souls”.
