The Norwegian Power/Progressive metallers DIVIDED MULTITUDE did with “Guardian Angel” a nice, pretty gloomy, sometimes aggressive piece of music with many keyboards, a taste of eagerness to experiment and an interesting, complex singing concept. Breaks, catchy, if not necessarily innovative riffs and variation of speed are rounding up the view. My spontaneous thought was that it parallels to Circus Maximus and Pagan’s Mind (for example the beginning of “Something for Someone”). The text concept is partly rather overblown (“My Dying Hour”), but partly even pleasant socially critical (“Deeds Of Deception”). Listen to it and make your own decision!
