“Ayin Aleph II” makes fun. It really does, without restriction, although AYIN ALEPH did a breach of style after „Ayin Aleph I“ and “Ayin Aleph II”, which inclines to the baroque / Gothic-corner; is so feathery and frisky that it rather reminds of Wagner than on Emile Guileles. The baroque roots are still found deeply buried in the sound of the US Americans. There were overlaid many jazzier ideas ("The Purchase Of The Cathedral") and gothic riffing, packed with unconventional song structures, which make "Ayin Aleph II" an intense hearing experience without slipping completely into the monotonous. Somehow "Ayin Aleph II" looks quieter and calmer than comparable works without being less hard – that’s a string which has rarely been accomplished by other bands before and which arranges together with the catchy and complicated songwriting to open minds and humming along to the melodies. “Ayin Aleph II” is an unexpected successful album for everybody from Glenn Gould fans up to Katleen Ferrier friends who can get along with nice, complicated, catchy, relaxed music and for all those, who don’t need a constantly distorted guitars.
