EYE FOR AN EYE are another Swindon-Combo in the Rising Records, they are very young and influenced by Stoner-Rock. It lists SWORN TO OATH, BOON and KAUAN, what you can hear in the 40 minutes of “Downfall”. The guys try to position themselves between Stoner Rock and Postrock, but they just can’t live up to it. The fast passages are too crude, the slow parts are too wannabe-nice and remind a little of SIDEWAYTOWN. It may be that EYE FOR AN EYE want to sound good and varied, but the Result is a boring, a too much self-repeating Stoner Rock-CD, where none of the songs really convinces.
