GUILTY AS SIN already couldn’t really mark their territory with their debut, even though some fans of newer Swedish metal were impressed by this album. "Led To The Slaughter" shows a more matured and technically advanced band, which can be seen in more song ideas and more variety - e.g. amazing melodies in "House Arrest" or the mega-agressive "Eagle Over Mountain", where a proper Speed/Thrash edge can be found. The only one who is an underachiever, is guitarist Dan McAdam, who lacks variability with his perpetual intonation and plays the partly good song ideas down. Another big setback of this CD is the feeling that all of this has been heard before already. GUILTY AS SIN use too many inspirations, so they can not create an own identity and finally end up being a Morbid Angel-Down copy. Everything is written, played and produced in a solid way, but not much of a masterpiece.
