It has been three years since we last heard something new from Rob Zombie. Now he´s back with a vengeance and his new record Hellbilly Deluxe 2. Hellbilly Deluxe (part 1 is what you have to say now) was released 12 years ago and appealed especially to fans of bizarre rock music. With Hellbilly Deluxe 2, Mr. Zombie probably wanted to replicate his earlier success and musically the record can definitely keep up with its 1998 namesake. Also lyrically, you will find the familiar, creepy favorite topics of every horror aficionado. Using grotesque lyrics to make a song or a movie is most certainly the speciality of this American rocker. Even though the sound stays the same all the time and there´s absolutely no surprise regarding the lyrics, Rob Zombie somehow always manages it to make his music turn into something you just cannot stop listening to.
