„Recorded and mixed in nine days“ it says on the back of the second album by Hulk from Brussels. But after the first notes of the first track ("My Nation" ) of „Cowboy Coffee & Burned Knives...“ it is clear that this band with a somewhat comical name has no reason to hide their light under a bushel. Some would call it stoner rock, others would call it old fashioned rock 'n' roll. With this trio from Belgium it doesn't really matter what you call it: whether they go full throttle in songs like „It’s allright“´or a bit calmer in songs like „Sunshine through the Rain“, this album is catchy and fun. And you can tell that the music presented here is sincere and not just intended to jump on the band wagon of the successful retro rock.
