Sweden is well-known for its hardrock´n´roll acts, bands like Hellacopters or Truckfighters come immediately to mind. Now the car-centric (see cover outside and inside) guys of Greed want to burn some rubber themselves and correspondingly released their debut album “Burn it down…”. On it there´s, as one might have already guessed, 70s influenced rock that kind of reaches a certain acceleration level but isn´t pushed any further. In other words, it´s quite nice to listen to but there´s nothing that you wouldn´t expect from aforementioned bands in the same manner or maybe even better. Beyond that, the songs don´t really stick to your brain past their ending and when the whole record is over you´ve forgotten everything anyway. That you can do it much better has been proven by for example Mind of Doll from Finland or the masters of punkrock´n´roll Social Distortion. Maybe Greed could have a listen at these bands for the next album.
