The band that positions itself as metal, Divine Sinn is lacking that guitar-torturing heaviness and that small something that’ll inspire at least something near to headbanging. However, if we drop all the labels and genres, in its core, Divine Sinn is a very pleasant, melodic and somewhat moody (good) alternative, with a charming vocalist. His voice and expression are believable, so I definitely want to hear more. The highlights of this EP are Angel’s Eyes and See the Void, although there is also a very decent cover of Sisters’ Dominion and a couple of other acoustic recordings. Good EP, worth listening. I’m only worried how much diversity this band has in stock and what will it be like, when there is a full length album. For an EP they’ve done a good job, but on a longer album I’m afraid there’s a risk to fall into repetition.
