Those of you always wanting know how it sounds when zombies make music, just listen to Bloodgut. Bloogut is not a real band, though, but it’s the one man project of a certain Roger “Rogga” Johansson; some will know him through his other bands like Edge of Sanity, Ribspreader or Paganizer. So, what is “Rogga” offering us now? Let’s put it that way, the artwork is the best thing about this release! Musically, one can only hope that it’s just a “fun” project because it seems like Mr. Johansson wants to live out his gory fantasies with this project, which doesn’t necessarily have to be bad thing except in this case. Song titles, anyone? Here are some examples: Gutting a nun, Slaughtersong, Rejoice in Doom. But that’s not all, the whole album INTENTIONALLY sounds like Roger and Mr. Swanö (Mastering) got totally shitfaced in Gamleby and then, not of sound mind anymore, decided to record this album in a shabby studio. The album title (pt1) even raises fears that there will be another record coming up. Arrrgh! There’s one thing, though, that this record definitely has achieved, at the end you have lost all your will to live, too…
