Itīs hard to believe that this band hails from Upper Austria. Their songs rather remind of this usual US-Rock that we all know way too well. But the guys from Guideline have picked the rights sound for themselves because the riffs and the vocals as well as the drums harmonise nicely with each other and thatīs how stoner rock at its best is created. Even though there arenīt too many technically demanding compositions on this debut album, itīs still coherent and thus the whole album is like one unified whole that you can easily listen to all the time. Singer Kurtulus Cabuk knows how to convince with a solid and pleasant voice throughout the whole record. For a debut album this is really a great achievement for the fivesome and every stoner rock fan will surely enjoy it. However, for their follow up record, the band should consider to break the mould a bit more and bring different elements to the mix as well, this applies to the music as well as the vocals.
