I have to honestly say that, up until now, I hadn´t heard anything about this band, which is, like me, from Switzerland. But I may be excused because New Wave is really not my cup of tea.

Nevertheless, with We´ll See When We Get There, Fakir publish another album filled with very dark sounds. Musically, the whole thing is a bit depressive but, still, it´s not bad in any way. However, it would be a lot better if the vocals would sound slightly different. Somehow from the first notes on, you wish for a more dark or deep voice or if it has to be so “high”, then maybe rather in the style of Hurts. That´s at least what I could imagine to be more suitable for the songs and, which would make this album sound way more coherent.

Especially To Where and Time Will Tell, which are a bit faster, I do like. This is because they don´t have that certain doom´s day atmosphere like many other songs. New Wave fans should best check out this record for themselves and decide whether they like it or not.
