Already ten years, the Three Wishes boys from Hamburg have under their musical belts and to celebrate this occasion, they present their fourth album ”Obsession”. What my ears get to hear is anything but boring, chaotic or whatever. No, it is cool rock sound, with lots of heart´s blood; it´s groovy, fresh, with nice hooklines and passion, and comes with catchy choruses aplenty. The guys can really be proud of themselves, even more so because they did everything themselves, recording the album in their own studio. The result? A nice, well-done production.
All that is needed are good compositions, great musicians and a strong voice and the rest will just pan out. And the record has all those features: rocking guitar riffs and solos, beautiful keyboard sounds, beating drums and a voice that is fun to listen to. It just all fits together and makes for a melodious piece of music. And with “Everything to Me” there is also a very nice ballad on the record. I can only say: Listen to Obsession and get obsessed with it.
