Many of us will know Fergie Frederiksen through his time with legendary rock band Toto but the US-American was also involved with many other projects. Thus, he contributed brilliant vocals to recordings of amongst others Trillion, LeRoux, Mecca and others. Fergie started singing at the age of 13 and he has been touring pubs since the tender age of 15.
His third solo record “Happiness is the Road” was written under very special circumstances –Frederiksen got diagnosed with liver cancer in 2010. The album was done during those difficult times, when Fergie fought for his life. It was like a little miracle when, in 2011, he announced that the record is finished and, what´s even more important, that he is on the mend. “Happiness is the Road” is thus a record, which is full of emotions like lust for life, love, passion but, of course, also sorrow. It is a story about all those things and it is what this singer has delivered so believably his whole life. Twelve songs that go straight under your skin and showcase once more that Fergie Frederiksen belongs to the giants of melodic rock.
