The latest production from Rush is the live album “Time Machine”, which is also available on DVD. Both the CD and DVD are definitely worth buying if you´re a fan of the band. If you are new to the veteran trio, it may be better to start off with a non-live album (as always), such as “Snakes and Arrows”.

The album offers just about everything one could hope for when it comes to the track list: “Limelight”, “Nobody´s Hero”, “Tom Sawyer” as well as “Caravan” and “BU2B” from their upcoming album, “Clockwork Angels”. The classic material doesn´t fail to entertain and the newer is a breath of fresh air; especially the fat bass beats in BU2B easily hold their own against those of Rage Against the Machine. It is truly remarkable to hear the band perform live considering that they are almost 60 years old and make close to no mistakes.

There isn´t much more to say about the album, apart from that it probably pales in comparison to the DVD, which is one of the few criticisms one could hold against the CD. Other than that, the only minus point comes to Geddy Lee´s signature voice, which at a too long listening turns to nails on the chalk board.
