The US-American blues musician Eric Bibb releases with Deeper In The Well his latest album. To make one thing clear from the beginning: Those who are not into soft blues/traditional folk should stay well clear of this album.
What a creative, unique album, Mr. Bibb. Well, it took less than ten years for Eric Bibb to make a name for himself in the blues genre. But, on his new album, he´s not so much ´attending´ the new school of blues but rather opting for a unique, challenging and at the same time very interesting variety of his chosen genre.
13 songs that feature many fascinating melody lines show that the musician, in a classical line-up, knows exactly what he´s doing. Solemn, overflowing and highly melodic guitar leads plus eclectic vocal lines (spoken or sung) make Deeper In The Well an attention-grabbing listening experience. This album leaves a favourable impression.
