Despite of their 20 year band history, I have to admit that I first heard about them four years ago, when they where touring with The Poodles. Back then the Line-up changes, which the band has been through in their career, had been a thing of the past. Singer Johan Fahlberg could already convince me live, that’s why I am even more curious how it will be on the album. Already the first song “With You”, for which they also shot a Video (see http://youtu.be/lc3IxICrVA4 ), is like a bat out of hell and promises a felicitous record of this German band with the Swedish singer. The other songs are also catchy with more or less earwig potential. For the guitar fans, the album includes a few well done solos. Johan does his job very well and tries to present his voice as variable as possible. That works most of the time really well, even though I have to say that the really high parts- for example in “Buried Alive” – do not sound as good as the rest. As usual for German Hardrock – Melodic Rock productions, either Michael Voss or Mat Sinner has a finger in the pie, this time it is the latter, together with Chris Lausmann. They were already responsible for the previous records “Sinister Mind” and “Perfect Isanity”. Two years after their last release, Jaded Heart outdo the quality standard of their music once again. “Common Destiny” is a pleasant record to listen to, and one you can simply enjoy.
