If bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Hey Mercedes and Texas Is The Reason mean anything to you, then you should definitely listen to he new Dear Diary CD. It was produced by Guido Lucas (Donots, Pale, Yage). The music is played very simply and plainly. But this is absolutely not a bad thing. They are simple songs performed very emotionally. I am not so sure whether I should describe this music as German emocore. But it's not so important to stick it in a certain musical category. The most important thing is that the music is entertaining. Dear Diary should keep improving themselves and stay away from bandwagons and then they will soon be an institution.
