The debut record of the young band Screed from Munich is completely dedicated to more or less melodious punk rock. Their idols are obviously bands like NOFX or Pennywise. Yet even their approach is good, they don’t quite live up to their American idols yet. Certainly you can hear that Benni, Stocki, Mark and Flo have fun to play this music. “Why should we care” offers 14 tracks between 2 and 4 minutes. Sometimes you´re glad that the songs end after a short time, because they turn out to be a bit chaotic but sometimes you would wish that the songs lasted longer, for example “Lost Inside Yourself”! All in all, “Why should we care” is a varied punk record, which should have something to offer for every taste, no matter if slow, fast, snotty or soft, Screed offer it all!
