The Finish band HIM returns two years after their last record with a new best-of album called ”XX – Two Decades Of Love Metal“, which is a compilation of the band´s singles from the last 20 years. With their melancholic sound of love metal, the band easily puts a spell on every listener. The album opener, “Strange World”, is, however, not a new one; it is a cover song, originally from “Ké”. Of course, the well-known track “Join me” is also part of this record. It´s the only calm track, the other 19 songs are more rocking. Also “Wicked Game”, which is a very popular and catchy song, has not been left out. In general, you could say that people who haven´t listened to HIM before might be interested in this compilation to get an idea of the band´s talents! The album shows facets, which some people may come to like - it´s totally worth to give it a listen.
