In the beginning of October, the Norwegian Hardrock band, TNT, released an audio recording of their 30th anniversary concert from 2012. This album is, however, not a triumphal march as expected because it has two different faces. The pretty face shows 17 timeless Hardrock classics, enhanced with guest vocals by Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Henk von Helvete (Turbonegro) and all former vocalists of the band. But there´s another, less pretty face. The whole album suffers from poor sound quality. First of all, there is too much reverb on most of the instruments, stripping the sound of all edges and straightforwardness. Then, there´s the orchestra. Or, well, there should be one. You can actually only hear it during the silent parts of the set. As soon as the band kicks into full gear, there´s no sign of it far and wide.

What a pity, I have always been a friend of such collaborations. In this case, the poor mixing really put me off but friends of classic Hardrock should give the album a chance and see whether they are okay with the sound.
