Their first three albums earned the guys from Arnsberg, Germany, an excellent reputation in the German metal scene. Now, album no 4, Ravenhead, is out! The title track, which opens the album, shows how much the guys have learned over the years. It is simply their best and most advanced song yet! Also the following F.E.V.E.R. is wonderful. Both are simply epic and bombastic!
But after those tracks, the album´s quality starts to decrease. Especially the track, The Evil Lies In Every Man, really sucks with its overly repetitive chorus. Then, it gets epic again, when Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger) joins Seeb Levermann on Here At The End Of The World. Also the following A Reason To Give, a quieter song, and The Sorrow is Your Tale, a duet with Hammerfall´s Joacim Cans, are well-done. But the three remaining songs are rather fillers than killers.
With this album, Orden Ogan should consolidate their position in the scene. Although the second half of the album is a bit weak, it doesn´t alter the fact that Ravenhead is a good and solid record.
