Soul Rape formed in 2007 and, so far, released two demos. Now, the four guys from Italy release their first full-length album. And “Endless Reign” is a real monster: It combines styles like Death, Thrash and Black Metal, all arranged really progressively. The album starts with “Endless Reign” and “Like the Serpents Tongue” quite accessibly, but soon it becomes more and more complex. Although I´m not a big fan of the more complex songs, it´s easy to hear that these guys know how to play their instruments. And, there´s another great thing about this album: it´s the sound. I´ve heard worse sound on albums of much more famous bands. So, everybody who´s into progressive stuff like Emporer should give it a try.
