On their album “Alice´s Inferno” the Spanish goth metallers from Forever Slave go off with a big bang. The album tells the story of Alice who is accused of killing her parents. In the mental institution in which she´s admitted they dig deep into her subconscious. With a beautiful, clear voice Lady Angellyca sings the story of Alice. A hard, raw, growling male voice also gets a chance to speak. Keyboarder Leal and violinist Ignacio give the whole thing a certain “classical” touch. To give at least some kind of clue of similar sounding bands, I spontaneously think of Lacuna Coil and The Vision Of Atlantis. However, it doesn´t really fit into the box “gothic band with warbling chick”.
