If a band or an artist manages to exist in the music business for eleven years, one would think they would establish an own identity. Well, Skylark do have their own sound, good ideas and a fan base. On their new venture „Fairytales“, the guitars are a bit more in the mix making this heavier friendly as well as featuring female vocalist Kiara along side long time vocalist Fabio Dozzo. Not a typical Italian symphonic metal band, since they are lacking a good production and mix. More like a garage band with the potential but not enough to be in the same league as Rhapsody, Labyrinth or Vision Divine. For metal fans who like somewhat symphonic metal but can’t stand the over productions and over playing or dominating orchestras - this is your band.
