To name the second act of Semen Datura just common Black Metal would not please the 10 tracks. Rather you are willing to call it modern Black Metal with drive. The Death Metal background is obviously within. Generally passages that are not simple hammered down but with delay of tempo and melody leads. That within this the heaviness is not taken out, speaks for itself and for Semen Datura. Refreshing to hear such a piece from German regions and not from Scandinavia the stronghold of Black Metal and the classically Sweden Death, then “Vineta Part 1” is a perfect symbiosis of both with the focus on the darker side.
