The description gothic rock merely satisfies to conceive the new and third album from Zeraphine rudimentally. The term might delineate a part but not the whole thing.

With „Blind Camera“ the Berlin-based guys succeed in creating a multifarious album with both German and English lyrics; more powerful than their debut „Kalte Sonne“ and the follower „Traumaworld“, nevertheless taking in the influences of those two CDs, connecting them and adding something new. Partly surprisingly fast and alternative, often gothic-based and melancholic – and in doing so always emotional and atmospheric. Lots of little musical finenesses can be found in the hidden depth of the songs. Plain and simple lyrics is nothing we are used to hear from Sven Friedrich’s deep and warm voice and that certainly remains with the concept of a “Blind Camera”. For a blind camera can see but it is only sensitive to a part of the whole thing. But what does reality look like? And whose reality is it?

The special edition of that 15-track-CD includes a bonus DVD with a running time of 45 minutes (in German language only).
