MTV makes it possible. Like Nirvana, Lenny Kravitz, REM, Herbert Grönemeyer amongst others before them now Die Toten Hosen had the honour to show their skills without any technical gadgets. The album comprises 20 songs and on it you can find an old friend. The newly arranged version of „Hier kommt Alex“ works better than any vanishing crème and allows a wonderful backflash. The four new songs on the album have the well-known Hosen-style and fulfil all expectations that you could have of a new Die Toten Hosen song without being too much of a highlight or having the special ear candy potential like „Hier kommt Alex“. The cover version of „Blitzkrieg Bop“ from the Ramones and „The Guns Of Brixton“ from The Clash are just brilliant. The Beatsteaks cover „Hand In Hand“ is good for the Beatsteaks and underlines once again the benevolent friendship of the Hosen to the Beatsteaks who without their support would’ve hardly gotten that much attention from the media. For Die Toten Hosen fans, nostalgics and fans of German punk this unplugged album is a must-have!
