„Well, picking some record from Daddy´s collection?“
Checking out this Hippie band photo you could assume that, and listening to the first chords of the single „Mountain Songs“ you feel like being in Woodstock. The only thing that might make you wonder is the CD-format but even in this aspect Siena Root took care: The regular Single is on vinyl.
Whereas „Mountain Song I“ displays more energetic Rock, „Mountain Song II“ sounds more like Blues and Psychedelic. Both songs have this 70s feeling in common, especially on the A-side (unbelievable that you can still write something like that nowadays...) which is dominated by organ and singer Sanya´s powerful Soul-voice. Siena Root have not invented the wheel with that but the idea is excellent!
