Oh my God! When did sex, drugs and rock ´n´ roll become this boring? The Finnish sleaze-rockers Stereo Junks have a lot to learn… No producer credits are mentioned on the four song EP “Suicide Angels” so I guess we can only blame the band themselves. First of all: If you’re looking for talented musicians and some good playing please stay as far away from this as possible! A special warning about the drummer Rip Radioactive, who’s special mutant power doesn’t at least seem to be hitting a beat on the bass drum. The rest of the band plays more or less like a garage band and the songs end up as one big chunk of noise. Singer/songwriter Anzi Destruction, who is the brain and the heart behind the operation, doesn’t seem to know if he should be Iggy Pop or Scott Weiland, but in the end he’s just another Dregen look alike who thinks it’s cool to compare women to drugs in his lyrics. A few very annoying mannerisms in his voice really send down shivers down your spine. Even though the actual songs aren’t as bad as the outcome, there’s nothing so special about them, that you want to suffer the agony of listening to the guys play to hear them more than once. Maybe (!) with a new drummer and a little focus on producing these guys might still come with something decent, but for now the world (the band) just isn’t ready.
