The quintet from Brandenburg shows on “14943” solid, fast and funny Rock´n´Roll. The guys do not enter new ways with their music, but what really noticeable is the voice of singer Christoph Hildebrand, who might be in this twenties, whereas his voice sounds like that of a forty-year-old Rock singer.
The songs themselves are good but nothing special. “Sex Hurricane” reminds one of Billy Idol with more Rock´n´Roll. “Allan” sounds a bit like Modern Metal and “All The Chicks Like Techno” is nice due to the pumping beats.
But nevertheless this record can not really convince, because most of the songs sound damned equal and nothing new is offered here. Mandala´s music could be great if played on stage, but on the CD the whole stuff is just meandering along.
