What to expect from a CD by a band that you know is from Sweden and has something to do with rock n roll? The finest Swedish 60s garage rock, and that’s what you get, at least in essence. It was produced by Nicke Andersson (Hellacopters) and you notice rightaway that these guys want to go places and they give it their all. The pieces are very energetic, but somehow something to set them apart from other bands is lacking. There is definitely a spark, but the fire doesn’t start like you expected after the first few notes. The record has melodic pieces like „Calm Water“, as well as more rock n roll songs like “Hey Rebel“. Fans of bands like The Hives, The Libertines, Hellacopters etc. will certainly like this album, ... some more, some less (as always).
