The band Shouling For Joey, which has been existing since August 2006, shows on this demo which contains three titles that there is still great rock music from Germany. The opener “Martyr” is very groovy and catchy; there won’t be anyone who won’t move his body with this song. Also the following number “Predictable” is quite good, there are some riffs which you could find similarly in AC/DC-songs. However the song itself is quite modest and slow, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. The nice melody and the very good singing, which perfectly fits into the music, make this song a catchy tune.
And also the last track “Mental Cancer” is different from its predecessors. The whole begins with modern metal and then drifts into a punk melody with some screaming.
This demo version is nicely innovative and great! Now we are looking forward to getting the album, to which the recording sessions will start this spring.
