After an orchestral intro the power metal players from Dark Moor begin their song “The Chariot” with a music, which is quite similar to Nightwish. But with Dark Moor you have no female front voice which serves much for the quality of the record. “The Star” is then even more bombastic and reminds you sometimes of Sirenia.
Also the rest of the songs of this seventh album of the Spanish Dark Moor are symphonic anthems, which are perfectly composed and fit together quite well, without sounding uniform.
Those who take a closer look on the song titles such as “Wheel Of Fortune”, “Death” and the bonus track “The Fool” could get an idea why this album is called “Tarot”.
A really good and symphonic power metal piece, not only for tarot lovers.
