Heavy Metal from Mexico is surely a rarity on the market, and no wonder, only very few bands from this region of the world are actually playing music of this genre. And also this album that the band produced themselves, btw, made it to my CD player only by chance and with some delay. “Uncharted Dreams” came out in 2005, yet this is still the only available longplayer of this band so far. In the meantime there have been severe line-up changes, too. Only Alejandro Isaac (git) and Carlos Flores (keys) remained in the now existing sextet, Luis Armendáriz (voc), Javier Saldivar (b), guest drummer Jorge Espinoza and guest gitarrist Josue Moreno are no longer part of the band.

The style can be described as Progressive Metal, but there are also elements of Power Metal (“Evermore”) or Speed Metal (“Alone”). Listening to “Unchartet Dreams” you are also reminded of the old Helloween or Queensryche, yet the best band to compare Fahrenheit with might be Dream Theater. Furthermore, also those Mexicans are excellent musicians. The brilliant final track “Escarlata” (sung in Spanish, which makes it especially impressive) will finally convince you that this is truly a remarkable band!
