On their new record „The Casanovas“ offer solid souther rock and that’s even geographically correct because “The Casanovas” hail from Australia. And when you are from Australia it’s only natural that you adopt one or the other thing from ACDC. Also comparisons with ZZ Top, Rose Tattoo and The Hellacopters can’t be denied. The main topic, how could it be any different, are of course women who are once again blamed for everything but there’s also a song about sunny California, which is quite weird because the band itself calls sunny Melbourne their home. Altogether, the music is easy to digest and the best way to enjoy it is with a well-chilled (optionally Australian) beer in your hand at the local pub around the corner. Recommended track: “California”
