I am not quite sure if I can use the term “Old School” for this genre, but this band from Sweden, founded in 2002, follows a sinister Rock style that had its heyday about the mid-to-end-90s. Martin Mathiesen – Vocals, Nils-David Carlsson – Drums, Erik Kurtson – Guitar, Ulf Stahl – Bass und Johan Dyyk – Guitar play an epic, melancholic and very melodic-ear candy-like Gothic Metal/Doom which reminds a lot of My Dying Bride. Long songs, clean vocals switching with growls, slow motion drumming, laments and world-weariness – this is music that deprives you of the slightest hope.
Indeed a remarkable third demo that has the potential to stir up the Gothic as well as the Doom scene, but in my opinion they still have to develop their own style. But I can recommend it to anybody who is into “Old School Goth”.
