At first sight, Dreamland just gets itself entangled and lost among many other Dragonland, Dragonforce, Dragonlord, Dreamtone and such, so definitely no points for the creativity/originality this far. No surprise also that members and ex-members of those bands interchange frequently, so currently we have ex-Dragonlord´s Jesse Lindskog on the drums in Dreamland, if you´d be able to spot much of a difference. “Eye For An Eye” is the band´s follow up to their reasonably successful debut “Future´s Calling”, and the fact that Joacim Cans (Hammerfall) and Andy Laroque (King Diamond) have their input into this album is already promising.

In this metal genre it is serious a challenge to come up with something good enough to satisfy picky/skeptical journalists and much spoiled for choice listeners. Even sadder that Dreamland does not even seem to try. For my imagination, the album title suggests something rough and passionate: Eye For An Eye – revenge, hard feelings and excitement, but except for some occasional guitar riffs, none of this music conveys any strong emotions.

All in all, the band is not completely talent-less, especially with such sound names involved, so in the future Dreamland has all the potential to make a memorable impression, but they should not wait long until starting this progress, otherwise they are risking being drowned among many others in the field of dragons.
