Supreme Court from Espoo, near Helsinki, have finished their new, self-produced, fourth minialbum, mysteriously titled “A Session Trehny Campbell.” On the about 20 minute long EP you find five songs that were all recorded in only one take live. Unfortunately this DIY attitude affects the overall sound of the record negatively and the production doesn’t sound as shiny as it could. The musical style of Supreme Court ranges somewhere between rock and metal, Motörhead and Pantera seem to be influences. The vocal acrobatics of the singer, though, is a bit unusual and so when he moves away from the growls it sounds a bit unintentionally funny here and there. All in all solid but innovation-free Rock music.
