The DVD “Celebrate” of Fiddler`s Green celebrates the 1000th concert of the band, which had been played in July 2004 at the Hoheneck Castle. Of course this show is the focus, and to sit still in front of the DVD-player seems impossible, as the songs with their many fast melodies, which get hooked in the ear of the listener, but also the happy band, that presents itself of ist best side, create lust to dance along. And the combined play of the two fiddlers, Tobi old and Tobi new...!
But not only the concert is just great, also the rest of the DVD. Already the intro convinced me, and then of course the Greencuts, which are just unspeakably and wildly funny. Generally the DVD shows clearly, that the members of Fiddler`s Green Mitglieder have a lot of humour. Have a look at the castle tour, where the fans are asked for their opinion of the anniversary concert, and the “garage lamps” at the men´s toilet, which receive some extra attention
About the history of the band isn´t much told, but therefore there are many concert recordings, which present and document the development and changes of the band.
This DVD is really great and creates good mood, strains the risible muscles, and is not only for a Fiddler´s fan a worthy purchase. Highest score!
Die DVD “Celebrate” von Fiddler`s Green feiert das 1000. Konzert der Band, das im Juli 2004 auf Burg Hoheneck gespielt wurde. Natürlich steht diese Show im Mittelpunkt und still vor dem DVD- Player zu sitzen ist da wohl unmöglich, denn die Lieder mit ihren vielen schnellen Melodien, die sich tief im Gehörgang des Zuhöreres verankern, aber auch die fröhliche Band, die sich von iherer besten Seite zeigt, wecken die Lust mitzutanzen. Und erst das Zusammenspiel der beiden Fiddler Tobi alt und Tobi neu...!
Doch nicht nur das Konzert ist einfach klasse, sondern auch der Rest der DVD. Schon das Intro hat mich überzeugt und dann natürlich die Greencuts, die einfach unbeschreiblich und wahnsinnig lustig sind. Überhaupt wird aud der DVD deutlich, dass die Fiddler`s Green Mitglieder eine Menge Spaß verstehen. Man schaue sich die Burgführung an, bei der Fans einfach mal nach ihrer Meinung zum Jubiläumskonzert gefragt werden und die „Garagenleuchten“ auf der Herrentoilette besondere Aufmerksamkeit erhalten.
Zur Geschichte der Band werden zwar nicht viele Worte verloren, dafür aber eine Menge Konzertmitschnitte, die die Entwicklung und Veränderungen der Band schön darstellen.
Diese DVD ist wirklich super, macht gute Laune, strengt die Lachmuskeln an und ist nicht nur für einen Fiddler`s Fan eine lohnende Anschaffung. Höchste Punktzahl!
