After finishing a hard working day, I arrived at “Cave 54”, way too punctual, because the Club opened its doors about half an hour later. When I finally got into the location I was a bit astonished first and I thought:”is really a concert going on here?”, because it was as only big as an average living room. With about 45 min delay the gig started.
Veagaz performed their Alternative rock impressively by giving their music a new look with manifold borrowings. Just 5 people where there to listen to the first part of the evening, which started with songs “Deep” ad “Black Poison”, causing for the first time goosebumps and a good impression. What they missed was to embrace the audience that seemed disinterested. But no wonder, because the trio had missed the opportunity of a strong start and didn’t dare to present the best. Regardless, the whole show was nice and atmospherical. In a 20 min break beer was served and everybody cheered up.
In the second part of the evening, to my surprise, the basement almost filled completely with people. You could feel that the music lead them from the streets into the basement, where people gently started to swing and to increase the groove. Earlier than expected, but nevertheless happy, I got on my way back home. I hope the band will finish their tour successfully. They would really deserve it.
