Tonight we are taken into the past, to those times with Elvis, perfect gel styling, petticoats and Rock’n’Roll. Because tonight the charming guys of The Baseballs play in Z7 club.

The place is more than packed, the stage is still hidden by a courtain where The Baseballs Logo is projected on. The crowd, about 1750 people, wait patiently for the band to appear, from the official admission at 19.00 h until showtime 21.00 h. Naturally also the Swiss „Rock’n’Roll Scene“ is present, as well as the Pin-Up Model and Burlesque Performerin Zoe Scarlett from Basel (http://www.zoescarlett.com/). When the lights go out, the audience goes nuts. Behind the curtain the silhouettes of Basti, Sam, Digger & Co appear, a few seconds and the curtain falls with a bang, revealing the good-humoured band. With their big smiles they take over the audience in a split second. Girls´ hearts are melting, and the guys indeed know how to attract females – with a look into their eyes, a wicked smile and swiveling hips – and the ladies are carried away.

The Baseballs deliver their series of hits and also some of their own songs that are as highly appreciated as the cover versions: „Human“ by The Killers“, „Don’t Cha“ by Pussycat Dolls and naturally „Umbrella“ by Rihanna and „Hot’n’ Cold“ by Katy Perry. In the middle of the show the whole band - including Drummer, Guitarrist, Bassist and Keyboarder – surprise with an Acapella version of „Bleeding Love“ by Leona Lewis.
Those basic 115 Decibel are easily reached when Sam begins to unbutton his shirt, the girls scream „take it off, take it off“. You have to mention the brilliant band behind those 3 guys who literally play until their fingers bleed – that happened to guitarist Lars who needed medical attention in the middle of the show. Great musicians altogether, bass player Klaas Wendling, piano player Jan – who had to sing a solo, too – and Drummer Tomas leave a good impression. Pyro effects are used, and finally it´s raining confetti. Definitely a great act far from being boring, and who had seen them live wants to go to the next show right away. One of the reasons their concerts are sold out that quickly. Keep it up!
