This concert fits perfectly to my sinister mood, and even more sinister people, Gothic Fans in appropriate make-up and outfits, wait in front of the doors. Finally in the club the waiting continues because Cradle Of Filth have a signing session. Among the people there I discover some well-known faces, members of Swiss bands: three from Stoneman, bass player Ralph from the Death Metal band Disparaged or the singer of the Hardrockband Shakra, Mark Fox.

Deathstars
The audience cheers and applauds as Skinny (bass guitar), Nightmare (guitar), Cat (guitar), Bone W Machine (drums) und Whiplasher enter the stage. Listening to their Industrial-Goth-Metal and seeing their show is always an experience. First Cat has a technical problem with his guitar, but once solved he truly kicks ass. But for me singer Whiplasher is the most fascinating. This Swede has a super voice, especially for the more emotional songs. His performance, perhaps because of his feather scarf, radiates sex appeal, he really knows how to pull it off. And the audience seems to notice that, they sing along on top of their lungs, bang their heads, scream and just have fun.

Cradle Of Filth
In the front rows even more sinister children of the dark straight from the underground gather to worship Cradle Of Filth. The British band appreciates that with a flawless performance of their dark sinister Metal right from the start. As finally singer Dani Filth enters stage, his worshippers freak out. In my opinion his voice has something demanding, still defiant and plenty of raunchiness, therefore it fits to this real heavy Metal sound. And also his stage presence and body language are unique. Somehow unapproachable, mystical and still so lovely, simply impressive. It might be interesting to see Dani acting in a horror movie, as eagerly bloodsucking vampire, or as head of a Zombie gang. But enough of fantasies, here in Rohstofflager Club Cradle Of Filth surely ignited pure hellfire.

Despite several sound problems and bad airconditioning in the hall, it was a super show.
