This brutal Swedish act Aeon has not raised much attention in Germany until now. This is astounding, considering that they have been around since 1999 and touring with Cannibal Corpse and other known bands. CC are also among the biggest fans of those elk killers. Which is not such a surprise if you put Rise To Dominate into your CD player. The sound that blasts out of your speakers is finest Swedish Death of the technical kind. Technical but still straight and brutal, and only few bands can pull that off! The only weakness of those mainly mid tempo songs is the lack of identity. A lot seems heard-before and interchangeable. This is the reason why the otherwise great CD gets 2 points less...
