With Nosound the critic is badly off. The new Prog- Disc of the Italians has no frontiers: cruft, absolutely ordinary, perfectionist. “Lightdark” is nevertheless a representative cross section of old Progressive Rock.
What you get is – given by the involved musicians – good material with good Keyboarding showing a diversified sound. Over it all articulates the goose bump- making voice of Giancarlo Erra.
Fans of Blackfield should get on with the thought not to be disappointed with Nosound. It’s a solid album, which emphasizes diversity and compactness.
