After their foundation in 2000, it took only a short time until Redemption could make themselves a name. One the hand, this is a due to the high profile of some of their members (e.g. Ray Alder of Fates Warning & Bernie Versailles of Agent Steel), but on the other hand this is definately a matter of the music! And this means Progressive Metal that comes along with a bunch of nice melodies. In comparison to other bands of the genre, I think that the amount of guitar and keyboard solos has exactly the right dose. So no solo or lick in it that is not necessary. But not only amount of leads fits, also the heavyness is well-dosed. Or in other words: They know how to rock!
Oh, I almost forgot: Redemption do have a special guest, especially for all those Prog heads out there. James LaBrie of Dream Theater is singing `Another Day Dies` along with Ray Alder. So people, check this out!
