Liquido have been well-known since the time of their success in the 90’s, especially in Germany. Their way to success was through guitar pop with catchy vocal lines. But this was long ago and nowadays the only thing that has remained, are the catchy vocal lines and the feeling for good song structures. At this point you cannot speak of rock anymore, it is only pop now. Guitar work and speed barely take place on “Float”. It is sad that good guitar pop has mutated into the kind of unimportant pop that you hear on the radio and that won’t stay in your head. Only for really open-minded music comrades.
