In perfect agreement to the title you can see on the cover picture Freddy Krueger, Jason and Pennywise as well as the cute little Samara from the “Ring”-well and a gremlin, which are all enjoying some sweets. Maybe you expect after this first impression also real “evil” music, but that is not the case. Trick Or Treat play melodic Power Metal, to which a huge portion of irony is added. Hence, in “Like Donald Duck” you hear the just mentioned quack, and also the title track offers much fun. Also noticeable is the cover version of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, which sounds much better than the original, because singer Alessandro Conto has a nicer voice than Cindy Lauper.
Originally made up as a Halloween cover band, Trick Or Treat prove that they are able to perform their own material in the best way as well. “Joyful Of Sadness”, “Who Will Save The Hero” and “Back As A Pet” are the highlights of this all in all very convincing debut album.
