The information leaflet of the label Rodeostar tries to catch the reader with a quote from the song "We Want More":: "More late night parties blaring Rock`n´Roll, more drinkin´ till we wake up on the floor...these are the things that we are living for." Very nice, but above it says in the selfsame song: " More of the same, it's all been sang..." That is very true: This plate consistently surprised with a style and a way of playing, not as the swing for the first time on this planet the membranes.
Instinctively one feels through the mix of rockabilly and country punk for a few decades into the milieu of the final ball of an American high school moved. The bad boys stand in dark corners, drinking beer and smoking, and they smooch with those girls, their bad reputation has spread whispers already. On the stage dangling the wildest of the bad guys and play rock 'n' roll, danceable, driving punk with simple guitar riffs and hoarse screaming-singing voice. And the school shakes the dance floor; and Little Billy, they always tease, because he is so short and fat and shy, it must throw for the first time in his life, because they give him whiskey poured into the lemonade.
Enough memories, so beautiful, so nostalgic; there is a lack of some real ideas. The first track heats on pretty catchy, the other tracks in the same climate, tempo, expression, and - ups! - already has one half of the plate behind it. "Let us go to get away for some fresh air ..." We return after twenty minutes back in the ballroom, and the band plays somehow still the same song. On the floor floats Little Billy's vomit and in the corner is a moist panties, nothing else has done. The instructor stands in front of the stage and acts as if he would totally be on rock, but mainly the girls dance here, and that makes him sharp and let him pat here and there. For this he gets a fat complaint by the Director tomorrow.
Zack! - The record is over, completely consistent and rather uniform in their consistency. Since only help one or two six-packs to get into the mood. But this may actually leave live well, is certainly on the leaflet. Anyway, I thought after a nap, ah, glorious, this thing has done. As the plate suddenly goes on: it is the appendix of the bonus tracks "Bad Reputation" (who by the way I like best) - and we really end up in the hills where no one else comes up, and even Uncle Jim has brought out his banjo joining the village people party. This was still not all. Another break in the ball. Al and his black kitties still not have enough, they give still on it and a quote of flirting with a fragment from Guns N 'Roses "Paradise City". This inflates the song to just under 12 minutes. Jo, the sweaty high school pack is picked up by their parents, the teachers can finally enjoy the homemade liquor. Cheers!
