Punkrock fans, that album was worth waiting for. Kingwood isn’t the first output by Millencolin and also the ideas are not quite that new, but in that case it doesn’t matter. Because what the guys created this time with Producer Chips Kiesbye (also producer of several Hellacopters-albums) will enrich some of our future days.
Songs like „Birdie“ (especially after 1:50 min!) that provoke immediate sing-along (if you knew the text already) will stick in your ear just like the single „Ray“ or the slightly Bad Religion-inspired song „Biftek Supernova“. No, it doesn’t make sense to pick out certain songs because every one of them is great in its own way. And after Nikola Sarcevic presented last year his softer aspects in a beautiful way with Lock-Sport-Krock, now we are glad to spend a real Rock’n’Roll spring with him again. Yes, this album will please fans of their old as well as their newer records.
